7. Mascara Quartet
The music of Mascara Quartet vividly channels the longings captured between the streets of Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Lisbon… between bordellos, milongas, joy, and pain. Fado is the music of the night, arriving with the moon and dying with the sun. At Caffe Mascara, if you listen closely, you hear Mariza, Dulce Pontes, Astor Piazzolla, Amália Rodrigues…
The quartet consists of Polona Udovič (vocals, violin), Timi Krajnc (guitar), Vojko Vešligaj (guitar), and Mitja Režman (bass guitar) — accomplished artists active in numerous ensembles and festivals both at home and abroad.
